Full
secondary (Local or London A/L) education is to be equivalent
to minimum of 11-12 years of study with average mark not
less than 50%.
Age limit is 17-25 .
Subject
Requirements
Following
are the subject requirements for admission into the University.
Grades below "C" or 50% will not be accepted to the Medical
Faculty in any of the following required subjects.
Chemistry:
minimum of 1 academic year (including laboratory work).
General, Inorganic and Organic chemistry, with laboratory
work, are required. Work in qualitative analysis, quantitative
analysis, and physical chemistry is acceptable. Studied
in English medium is not compulsory.
Biology:
minimum of 1 academic year (including laboratory work).
This requirement may be satisfied by General Biology or
Zoology, or by courses of Zoology and Botany, but not Botany
alone. Some exposure to genetics is recommended. Studied
in English medium is not compulsory.
English
Composition and Literature: least till 10th standard
or GCE Ordinary Level.
Non-science
subjects: your studies at KSMU will be more comfortable
if you have completed Physics, Mathematics, Informatics
and Computing during your carrier at Secondary College.
Note
:- Grades below "C" applicants allowed to join KSMU through
completing pre-medical course at pre-medical faculty for
the required subject.
To
start your undergraduate education, first of all you will
need to decide the medium of instruction you would like
to use for your studies.
